Vera Wang Fall 2016 Bridal Collection
Vera Wang pulled out another edgy, avant-garde series of dresses for her Fall 2016 Bridal Collection. We love how Vera played with the contrast of sharp lines and oversized bows to create an innovative romantic look. Another fresh feature that we admire is the double covered buttons that adorn many of the gowns in this collection.
At our private writing appointment at Vera Wang in New York City, one of the most unique gowns we saw was a light ivory V-neck mermaid gown that was architecturally draped in hand-pleated French tulle and accented by a cutaway midriff detail. This dress had stylish lines and captivating texture.
We also loved the sister dress to the infamous Bride Wars gown by Vera Wang. This dress is a light ivory long sleeve stretch illusion and silk satin faced organza ball gown with a basque waist and voluptuous tulle skirt. The gown was also shown with an optional black corset. This dress would be perfect for the bride who favors the dramatic.
Other gowns we would love to see on brides included a soft white silk crepe structural gown with a V-neck and a contrast black silk bow accent on the shoulder as well as a light ivory Chantilly lace ball gown with a lingerie neckline, hand applique guipure lace, and intricate passementiere accented with a silk bow at the waist.
